PUTIN WILL BE ALLOWED TO TAKE PLACE OF BYZANTINE EMPERORS ON ATHOS

At this moment at Athos everyone is busy preparing for the arrival of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to Russian TV Channel Tsargrad, Russian president will be officially welcomed by Kinot of Holy Mount Athos in Karyes, administrative center of Athos and will be allowed to take the place, where only Byzantine Emperors sat in the past.

TV Channel Tsargrad started “Russian Athos” telethon dedicated to the millennium of Russian monastic presence on Mount Athos.
